swisstech in China
As the Science Consulate of Switzerland in China, Swissnex in China has been supporting and hosting Swiss startups at tech expos and trade shows in China since 2018. These country pavilions provide an excellent platform for these world-class startups to showcase their disruptive technologies to a broad Chinese audience, while establishing connections with a network of potential local partners, investors, mentors, experts, and potential business partners to facilitate market entry ambitions.
In 2020, the world's first swisstech pitchinar spotlighted 20 Swiss DeepTech startups and their ground-breaking tech, pioneering a new powerful virtual platform for startups to form game-changing partnerships on the global stage.
Starting in 2021, the new swisstech series in China aims to raise Switzerland's profile as an innovative location and to promote the visibility of Swiss startups across China's hottest tech expos, and highlight Switzerland as a world champion in innovation.
Past Editions
The swisstech pavilion at Tech G Shanghai International Consumer Electronics Show aims to raise Switzerland's profile as an innovative business location and promote the visibility of Swiss companies and universities abroad, hosting a cohort of 16 startups. Six of the exhibiting Swiss startups won the Great Tech Awards in different categories.
swisstech China series at CTIS 2021 – the dynamic showcase of 18 Swiss startups continues at the swisstech pavilion as part of Consumer Technology & Innovation Show CTIS: China's leading consumer tech and innovation expo with over 80,000 visitors and more than 3,000 exhibiting booths.
swisstech Pitchinar 2020 – our virtual pitching competition spotlighting 20 Swiss DeepTech startups and their ground-breaking tech, providing them with a platform to form game-changing partnerships with investors, mentors, experts, and potential business partners.
swisstech Pavilion – the largest country pavilion at CES Asia 2019 - showcased Switzerland's leading position in innovation with 22 startups from areas including IoT, Robotics, Drones, Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), HealthTech, SportTech and Blockchain.
The swisstech country Pavilion hosted 6 top-notch startup from Switzerland in 2018. Not only did the startups attract large crowds to the pavilion and vowed the audience at swissnex China's pitching event but also won no less than 4 CES Innovation Awards.
At the 2021 final showcase of Switzerland’s global swisstech campaign in China, five Swiss startups that participated virtually at the 23rd China Hi-Tech Fair received accolades for their ground-breaking innovations. The swisstech participation presented 19 Swiss startups at the tech show,
